Analog Advantages

  • Analog cars are simple, mechanical, transparent, and direct.

The simplicity of operating an analog car stands in contrast to the subservience demanded by modern technology.

The analog experience doesn’t require Logins, Passwords/PINs, Subscriptions, Apps, or Authentications. It does not include Paywalls, Interface changes, Over-the-Air Updates, Functionality Deletions, or Targeted Ads.

Analog affords you a real opportunity to master what you own.

  • Analog driving requires us to be more present to the task of driving. Paradoxically, this frees us to engage more fully with the real world and environment. It also helps us to become better, safer drivers.

Analog driving helps provide real connection over digital illusion. Talk with your passengers. Appreciate a breath of fresh air. Notice the shadows of the clouds on the landscape. Sense the beauty of life…

  • Analog cars do not track your every move and word. They do not extract and sell your personal information.

They allow a welcome break from digital connection and facilitate taking time truly for yourself.

  • Analogs cars are honest. No promises made they can’t deliver on. No features of dubious value.

Gauges, dials, buttons and switches offer direct and clear tactile feedback that touchscreens can’t beat.

Lacking many of today’s software controlled features that often fail early and are costly to repair or replace, they are more maintainable, often offering more affordable repair over replacement.

Analog products were designed and built to own - not to lease. To keep for as long as you choose, to repair where you choose, and not to be replaced until you choose to do so.

  • A valid concern regarding analog cars is that they may have fewer safety features. While this is true to an extent, they are by no means unsafe. Modern vehicle passive safety features themselves are not a panacea. And, dependence on Advanced Driver-Assistance Systems (ADAS) erodes driving skills, and their distractions and interventions may actually erode safety.

Simply put, nothing can replace safe, careful and attentive driving.

  • Real luxury comes from things that work for you.

Mechanical objects, when simple, well-made and designed to be rebuilt, are among the rarest of luxuries. And simplification-enhanced peace of mind is a luxury all its own.

  • Get together with friends. Go for drives just because. Enjoy the option to fix things yourself. Teach your kids or spouse to drive a stick shift if you choose a manual. Teach them to fix a flat, change the oil, or do other self-reliant maintenance.

Enjoy the freedom of not being “connected” (Just remember to ditch your cell phone or slip it into a Faraday sleeve). Go to a car show, or just park somewhere and be a one-car car show! Be the coolest car at the burger joint or cafe. Or, stay under the radar in an “invisible” car.
